Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment via Paypal. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling


Standard 1st Class postal rate is usually delivered within 24 hours (seasonal volume may effect this target) It is not a guarentee of next day delivery, which is solely dependant on your selected postal service at checkout.
If a guarenteed next day delivery is required, please ensure that you select the ‘Special Delivery’ option at checkout.
Out of stock or ‘advanced order only’ items can only be dispatched when stocks are available.
Large / Heavier items that incure larger excess’s on postage/packaging than our standard jewellery /gift items will be charged a PP excess in order to retain the correct postal costs of the item. The excess will be charged in addition to the standard fixed postal cost on the site. 

Delivery Schedule

We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you within 1 business days. International orders are generally received in under 14 days.

Out of stock or ‘advanced order only’ items can only be dispatched when stocks are available – we will endeavor to keep you informed of any delay if possible. If out of stock your order will be placed on our backorder inventory and dispatched at the first opportunity.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

We may share your personal information with our suppliers, service providers and other contractors to fulfil orders you place with us and to provide the services you request – In particular reference to items “out of stock” requiring direct dispatch from our suppliers – address details required to support delivery process.

Some items are manufactured to meet individual orders, in particular items of high value in gold, some may take a little longer during busier trading periods such as the lead up to the Christmas Season. These lead times should be considered before placing your order as the item will be considered a bespoke product and will not be refundable/returnable under any returns policy.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our payment processing. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee


Every product sold by Marquise Jewellery is backed by our 14-day money-back guarantee. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. However, if you change your mind about an item simply email or telephone (marquise_online@btinternet.com – 01492 547153 ) your intension to return the item quoting your order number. Then return it within 14 days. We also recommend that you obtain proof of postage and retain any tracking number details.

Provided that the item is returned in clean condition and in its original packaging, the purchase price will be refunded. You should allow up to 14 days from receipt of your returned goods for your refund to be processed. We will normally refund you using the same payment method that you used to purchase the goods. Return Postage and packaging charges will not be refunded. Customers returning items are responsible for loss/damage during transit and meeting the cost of return postage/packaging/Insurance. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Some specialist Sterling Silver items may contain a resin core for strength and stability. ( Sterling Silver Animals ) These items are processed for Assay at Official UK Assay Offices and carry a Full UK Hallmark including the “filled” mark which indicates the Sterling Silver item has a resin/cork core purely for strength and stability.

As a natural product semi-precious stone colours may vary. We believe this gives them added character and makes you item totally unique.
CHEMICALS
Avoid exposing your jewellery to chemicals such as perfume, household chemicals and hairspray as this could cause discoloration. Ladies remember, perfume first, jewellery afterwards!

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contract Regulations June 2014 and the Consumer Rights Act Oct 2015..

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 14 days of receipt. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in original – saleable condition.

Bespoke Products:
Items order/manufactured solely to fulfill an order to our customers own requirements eg silver animal figures, special ring sizes, alterations or personalized / engraved items are considered bespoke products and as such are not covered by our returns policy.

Gold PVD items : PVD layering is normally very durable. Avoid exposing your jewellery to chemicals such as perfume, household chemicals and hairspray as this could cause discoloration. Ladies remember, perfume first, jewellery afterwards!

Please note that due to Health & Safety reasons, in interests of hygiene and for your protection we do not accept returns of, or refunds on earrings or articles which penetrate break the skin or come in contact with bodily fluids.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Prices on screen include VAT at the UK rate.

You can pay using any of the major credit/debit cards… Card processing is handled via Paypal Payment Services.

Paypal payment option: Payment can also be made using a Paypal Account.

When you buy any amount of identical items at one time – and have them shipped to the same address – you will only pay full postage and packing for the first item. You will receive discounted P&P for the additional identical items ordered.

We do not accept Payment by personal cheque / postal order
